Amy & Andrew | Iron Station, North Carolina | North Carolina Wedding Photographer

Blog (51).jpg

I very specifically remember the moment that Amy sat down with me over bagels and told me that the theme of her wedding was going to be the gardens of Versailles. I remember my eyes getting bigger and bigger as she described the cake, the flowers, the gilded details and the dress. I heard all of that, and was beyond excited, but even then, I had no idea just how incredible this day was going to be.

When she said flowers, she meant flowers. Everywhere. Huge pots of them and beautiful greenery. The cake was the size of a person, and covered in gold and turquoise and more flowers. Her hair was a masterpiece and her dress was a custom-made historically accurate ensemble. The day was a riot of color and elegance.

(Don't ask how the rubber chicken fits in, but it does, flawlessly.)
