Back in October, I was lucky enough to take an impromptu trip to Oregon and Washington. One of my best friends offered to fly me out for a mini-pacific-northwest adventure, and I was super excited to see what her new home looked like (she moved to Oregon last year to pursue a hardcore job in chemistry.) She also surprised me with...wait for it... FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE TICKETS. It was incredible, and absolutely a check off my bucket list.
Very happily, another childhood best friend of mine and her boyfriend lived about three hours away in Washington, so I went up and spent some time with them hiking through some beautiful mountains in La Center. Y'all, I could move there tomorrow. The air was so much cleaner than any cities I've experienced, and the weather was incredibly cooperative the whole time. It was so green and everyone was so friendly. I harbor suspicions that Lindsey flew me up there solely to try and convince me to move. It's only working a tiny bit. Tiny. So tiny.
And a bonus: FLORENCE WELCH IN ALL HER GLORY.
